Canton Console (Cypress)
Adapted from designs of the Ming Dynasty, this multi-purpose sideboard is a compelling example of how form and function can be transformed into relaxed elegance. In the tradition of time honored craftsmanship, corner finger joints are used to secure the top and end panels. Easy access compartments have wire management openings and drawers are trimmed with subtly distressed solid brass pulls and corner brackets. Front edges are also fnished with half round and notched, hand applied molding. A one inch steel tube ensures structural integrity and is concealed behind the wood brace located beneath the case.
