Boulard Bibliotheque (With Antiqued Glass Doors)
This Empire mahogany cabinet is based on French bookcases from this period but makes a dramatic statement as a display case or china cabinet. The projecting molded top rests over a frieze with brass rosettes and intricate laurel leaf mounts. Three antiqued glass or mirrored doors are flanked by turned columns with brass acanthus capitals. Lighted interior with three adjustable glass shelves in each section. The lower case features three doors mounted with laured leaf and ribbon wreaths, all iconic symbols of the Fremch Empire period. Behind end doors are three pull-out trays and two adjustable shelves behind center door.
